My Book: Soundproofing for Do-It-Yourselfers
I am working on a book about soundproofing for do-it-yourselfers.
This book is written for all those who need a soundproof space for little money. Good acoustics in the soundproof space will be discussed, yet not very scientifically.
You might be renting or owning your home, in any case, retrofitting an existing condition without destroying the original look is a high priority. Moving is a fact of life and what this book helps to install is either portable or so inexpensive to install that it can be abandoned after a few years use. Sometimes demolition may be required to restore original conditions.
The materials used in the projects shown here are widely available, affordable and easy to adapt. The book is mostly geared towards the world of music, bands or individuals rehearsing and recording demos in a spare bedroom or the garage. Of course all installations for music are fully applicable to similar functions as listed below.
The ideas and discussions in this book can be useful for all those and their families and neighbors who need quiet and privacy.
